Admission Process

Choosing a school for our children is one of the most important decisions we as parents make, and while we may have already identified key elements we would want for our children's school, our final decision is often influenced by the 'feel' of our chosen school.

In the first instant, we would recommend that you arrange an appointment to come and visit us and see for yourself what an unrivalled learning experience life at Lyttelton truly is!

We hope you find that Lyttelton is the best fit for your child. To submit an application, download the fees form below and the application above, complete it, and mail it to us.

Stationary Lists

At Lyttelton Primary School we want to make sure that you have all the information you need to make sure that your child has the best education. Below is a list of downloadable stationary lists for each grade.

  • Please do not cover any books at home
  • Mark all items individually with your child’s name and surname
  • It is compulsory that your child wears an official school uniform to school

Your child has to have all these items at the end of the FIRST WEEK of school. No child will be allowed to borrow anything from another child.
Only send thick wax crayons and the colouring book with your child on the first day of school.
Should your child run out of stationery items, teachers will inform you about it
– please replenish any items that are needed
– if your child takes good care of the stationery items, it shouldn’t be necessary.

    • Please do not cover any books at home.
    • Mark all times individually with your child’s name and surname.
    • Mark each puzzle piece at the back.
    • Provide your child’s original birth certificate.
    • Provide one small passport photo of your child.
    • The school bag and diary DO NOT form part of the stationery pack.

    Your child should have these items at the start of the SECOND WEEK of school. No child will be allowed to borrow anything from another child. Only send thick wax crayons with your child on the first day of school.
    Should your child run out of stationery items, the teacher will inform you about it in his/her diary – please replenish any items that are needed – if your child takes good of the stationery items bought in January, it shouldn’t be necessary.

    • Mark each puzzle piece at the back
    • If the chair bag from Grade one is in a good order it may be used again

    Should your child run out of stationery items, teachers will write notes in school diaries – please replenish any items that are needed – if your child takes good care of the stationery items bought in January, it shouldn’t be necessary.

    If your child has a New Choice dictionary, you do not need to replace it with the Oxford dictionary
